looking for discussion with coping and dealing with the endless rat race of daily life with type 1 for over 20 years. I know I should be used to everything by now, yet I still have difficulty controlling my blood sugars and dealing with the everyday that goes with being a type 1 diabetic. I could go on forever, the ups and downs with health and emotions, the friends who never seem to understand, never quite feeling "right", being depressed and feeling like I'm trapped, for lack of better words. I know this can be dealt with it's just that I get tired of always monitoring, always checking this and that, more tests, more doctors, watch what I eat, excersize, get sick, everything. Does anyone else feel as I do?

hmmm...

I agree with all that you mentioned. This is a really tough go. I hate every bit of it.

I never feel 100% anymore.

I get days of being very sad about it...<sigh>...I'm 33yrs old and I have a terminal illness. Nobody really understands that you never feel quite 'right', as you said. Even people with Type 2 have no clue. All they have to do is clean up their lifestyle choices and everything is fine.

We live in a polluted world and it is taking a toll on the inhabitants of this beautiful little planet.

This is no genetic problem...that's a BS excuse by big industry to be able to keep on destroying and committing ecocide. Now they got us hooked on a biosynthetic hormone for life. Talk about profit.

I love the "atleast it's not cancer" comment you get from some people. Makes you want to smack'em.

Some days I just don't know what to do...I feel it all the time...it's on my mind ALL the time...it never goes away...

Tough times. Love and patience is all I suggest. Especially love. He needs a whole bunch of that right now.

I was diagnosed in April 2006. So I'm still dealing with alot of emotional baggage myself.

I have 4 young children. When I play with them too much...well...I'm still learning. The lows are physically horrible and there is a mental consequence attached to it.

I don't know how to cope...but I know what I must do. That comes with maturity.

Cheers.

Yes, I know exactly what youre going through.
I now keep a pretty good watch on my sugar and other health problems and think it would be so nice just to sit back and take a breath.
