Are there avaiable snack food appropriate for type two diabetes?

What types of food need to be improved?

Would you buy crumbly apricot apple bar?

Of course, there are but you should always check what is safe for you within the help of your doctor. I don't know if you already had the opportunity to read this book "Victory over diabetes" The health publishing company but in fact, it is really helpful.

"Victory over diabetes" The health publishing company, I totally agree with you Neima when you say that this book is helpful, I've got huge collection of books edited by the health publishing company but this one, especially for type 2 diabetes,is just great. There are useful recipes, tips in it.

I have had type 2 diabetes for years. You need to avoid anything of a greatly sugary nature. Almost all desserts and regular soda are right out. All other foods you only really need to be aware of the sugar content. Salad dressings for example have come a long way, now you can drown your salad with the best of them, if you choose the right ones. I have not touched regular soda (a previous fav) since I was diagnosed. And if you lose a lot of weight you MIGHT be able to beat diabetes into submission. There are documented cases of people beating it away completely.

Carbohydrates are one of the major food categories (the others include proteins and fats) in a type 2 diabetes diet. They provide fuel for the body in the form of glucose. Glucose is a sugar that is the primary means of energy for all of the body's cells.

Eating carb free and full of protein food is always better and it will help to decrease the chronic disease like diabetes. In case of diabetes diet food is always important to keep your health good and better to fight with the diabetes. Avoid sugary foods which are harmful to you and use sweeteners as alternative.

Hi stevesmith,
Your tips are really very helpful for type 2 diabetic people to decide what to eat and what they should avoid to eat while suffering with diabetes. The sugar must always avoid by diabetics and to control blood glucose level they should eat the Foods that lower blood sugar and also help to decrease weight.

Congratulations! Reading between the lines I must assume that some foods are good for diabetics and some foods are bad for those same people. Not quite earth-shattering, but a reasonable start.

You may find it very beneficial to read a whole lot of earlier posts on this site, to pick up a few tips on the information which elicits the most responses.

I would like to suggest to you, that you look at food preparation and/or cooking and quantum in addition to your statements, as they can totally negate your propositions.
All the best.
Ian
