Is there a chat room for this group and if there is how do you use it. I have type 2 diabetes and am having touble with my eyes and I can't see unless I use my reading glasses. I am also passing out all the time if I don't wear my glasses. Is anyone else having this problem. Seems to be happening all the time. I've worn corrective lenses since grade school & when first diagnosed my vision went haywire. The blood vessels in the eyes are tiny & very susceptible to blood sugar changes. You need to see an eye doctor ASAP & make sure the dr knows you are diabetic. There is another situation called diabetic retinopathy. I don't know much about it, but anything ending in "apathy" is not good. Once stabilized, diabetics need annual vision checks to help spot retinopathy or any other vision problems. I just wondered if any one was having blackouts due to the vision changes. They can't seem to figure out why I am fainting all the time. I think it has to do with my eyes. We designed it quite a while ago and then never went live with it for testing. I guess we felt it was just as easy for people to post message in real time within these forums.. Thanks for bringing up the subject again. I'll see if it's something we can get out there again for people to try out. I think at times the old style was more comprehensive from the fact that we seemed to have longer threads which were very interactive. But, that's another story for another time. Anyhow the chat room was working just fine, once we were able to get to the room. Friendships were made. After the change it went away. Maybe we could get it up and running again?
