Hello Chanter,
I'm responding to your post because yours is the most recent entry. I just joined the "community" and see that it is not very active. Unless people are communicating via personal email, this seems a very dead site.

I really feel for your frustration at all the new things to learn about your diabetes. I have Type 1 and after 3-4 years have finally come to fully accept my condition, along with all the particulars that come with it.

So how are you doing with all this? Do you have any other ailments that might complicate your treatment?

I am having a doozy of a time maintaining a diet that reflects 3 ailments that plague me -- diabetes, heart arrhythmia (A-Fib) and GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disorder). I must do all my own cooking, and it is an adventure every day.

Hope you're adjusting well. Keep at it and good luck!
