I just became a member and wanted to know if anyone has lost feeling in their bladder? I just got over 2 bad bouts of UTI's and it seems I don't have the feeling when my bladder is full. Would love to hear from anyone going through this and how do you cope/manage it? Thanks.

I have never heard of this type of neuropathy before. I couldn't find any mention of it in any of the literature I have. Sorry, I couldn't help. Hey BTW, I'm from AZ also!

Hi Valerie, That is ok, I did find it on a search. I am in Glendale, AZ. Where are you located? It is 114 deg. here today, we are on a heat advisory and my A/C is working over time. I hope it is cooler where you are!

Yes, Autonomic Neuropathy is the kind of nerve damage that diabetics can get ( bladder and bowels ) just like neuropathy of the feet and legs. It can even do damage on the heart. Glad to say that I don't have autonomic neuropathy it was just the UTI made it feel that way. So, things are fine. What a relief!

Oh! Your poor husband! My hubby works downtown at 7th St. and Buckeye and he said the jeep almost overheats because he has to stop at the lights alot and it causes the jeep's engine to get very hot. Has not over heated so far and hope it never does.

I used to have a lot of UTI's (3-4 per year). I began taking Cranberry Extract twice a day. I have had no UTI's for over 2 years. Maybe this will help you.

I can't say who I am, but I do work at a company that uses Wikipedia as a key part of online marketing strategies. That includes planting of viral information in entries, modification of entries to point to new promotional sites or "leaks" embedded in entries to test diffusion of information. Wikipedia is just a more transparent version of Myspace as far as some companies are concerned. I love it .
