I frequently read about damage in the hands and feet, but I seem to have a variety of symptoms
that include:

Pricking sensations around neck, upper chest, mild leg cramps periodically, light pain in legs,
tingling/some numbness around mouth and tip of tongue and slight blurring of vision once in awhile.

I almost feel like something else may be going on also.

Molly, have you discussed your symptoms with your doctor? Is your blood sugar in good control? If you haven't been diagnosed for very long? it does take a while for normal vision to return, and then you may need a change in your eyeglasses prescription after your blood sugar levels-off within normal range. Have you met with dietician? Are you exercising?

T2 diet & daily exercise (walking 1+ miles 3-4 times a day totalling 3-4 miles daily)/occasional biking and resistance training) no meds 7.75 yrs. - A1c low 6's

Over the 20 years I've had Diabetes Type 2, I have come to rely on the fact that if my hands tingle my sugar is low and if my feet hurt my sugar is high.
BUT my doctor says that's not a sure sign of anything! You should check your blood subars in these cases. I know for certain that many insulins (NPH and levermere) require you to supplement your diet with daily doses of Potassium to alleviate the cramps I had to get off Levermere because the cramps around my middle got so bad I had to take a pain reducer. Scary! Document symptoms and hope your doctor can enlighten you. General Practitioners however don't seem to know about these things. Get a diabetic specialist.
