Most health insurance companies have all inclusive benefits for diabetics such as regular checkups for vision and foot care, including eye refractions and toenail clipping and callus scraping at no extra cost.My new carrier, Blue Cross/Blue Shield Federal Plan will not pay for eye refractions and charge a $100 surgery co-pay for clipping and scraping. We need petitions and letters to appropriate officials to stop this abuse. We need to find lobbyists to take this cause before the Congress.
